Alamogordo, NM — The Alamogordo Tigers take the field tonight for their highly anticipated Homecoming game against the Organ Mountain Knights, with kickoff set for 7:00 p.m. at Tiger Stadium.
The matchup marks the start of district play for the Tigers, who enter the game ranked No. 9 in Class 6A and No. 14 overall in New Mexico, according to the latest MaxPreps/NMAA rankings. With a 3–1 record and a surge of community support, Alamogordo looks to extend its winning streak and defend its home turf under the Friday night lights.
Tonight’s game caps off a spirited week of Homecoming festivities, including Wednesday’s “At the Oscars” themed parade, which drew hundreds of spectators along Maryland Avenue. Student floats, marching bands, and local organizations lit up the route with creativity and pride, followed by a lively Powderpuff game at Tiger Stadium.
“This week has been a celebration of everything that makes Alamogordo special,” said one parent attending the parade. “Now it’s time to cheer our boys on and bring home a win.”
Organ Mountain arrives with a 1–3 record and will be looking to upset the Tigers in this key district matchup. Alamogordo’s defense, which has held opponents to under 20 points in three of four games, will be tested against the Knights’ mobile quarterback and spread offense.
Fans are encouraged to arrive early, wear black and gold, and support the Tigers as they take the field for one of the most important games of the season. The Homecoming Court will be presented at halftime, and the stadium is expected to be packed with alumni, families, and students celebrating the occasion.
The Homecoming dance will follow on Saturday night from 8 to 11 p.m. at the high school gym, with tickets priced at $20 for singles and $30 for couples.
With momentum on their side and the community behind them, the Alamogordo Tigers are ready to make tonight a Homecoming to remember.
