New Mexico Museum of Space History Launched Enhanced Sound System

The New Mexico Museum of Space History has launched and upgraded the sound experience at New Horizons Dome Theater and Planetarium.

Previously, guests enjoyed surround sound from left, right, center, and above. Now, the installation of a state-of-the-art Trinnov system takes audio immersion to the next level. This advanced technology calibrates to the unique acoustics of the dome, measuring and calculating sound waves so that every note, every effect, and every vibration converges onto you at once. The result? You don’t just hear the action—you feel it.

Imagine watching a brontosaurus stride through a prehistoric jungle. Before, you’d see and hear the action all around you. With the new system, you’ll feel every thunderous step, as if you’re standing in the jungle right beside the colossal creature.
