Alamogordo City Commission Recap MainStreet Project Fully Funded

The Alamogordo City Commission meeting tool place at 6:30 PM Tuesday in the Donald E. Carroll City Commission Chambers at City Hall. 

Key highlights included 

The Consent agenda approved

Acceptance of $20k grant for Animal Control approved 

With discussion and debate a Restriction fireworks sales allowing  only handheld fireworks no airborne projectilesY 

 Increase in contract for Mainstreet work of $605,627.55 to finalize project.

Seats up for election this year are:

Mayor 4 year term

Districts 2 and 4 for four year terms

District 1 special election for 2 year term to complete the position previously appointed by Nick Pauls resignation after being elected to the State Senate.

Municipal Judge 4 year term

Candidate filing date is by August 26, 2025 by 5:00 PM
