In Boys Basketball Quemado defeating Mescalero Apache 55-45 at the Mescalero Holiday Tournament. Davin Davis led the Chiefs with 15 points, Landyn Hiles had 10, Thomas Douglass with 7 and Anthony Yuzos had 6. The Chiefs drop to 1-5 and will face Capitan at 8 AM on Saturday
Boys Basketball - Tularosa defeated Cobre 55-52 at the Johnny May Classic. Fabian Pacheco led the Wildcats with 17 points, Jacoby Apachito and Zaine Hodges each had 9 and Estevan Barraza with 7. The Wildcats improved their record to 3-0 ans will play Silver at 5 PM on Saturday..
Boys Basketball - Cloudcroft defeated Hondo Valley 69-44 at the Mountain Top Tournament. The Bears improved their game performance to 3-3 snd will play Cliff on Saturday at 4:30 PM.
Girls Basketball - Animas defeated Cloudcroft 42-30 at the Mountain Top Tournament. The Lady Bears dropped to 4-3 ans next play Lordsburg Saturday at 12 PM.
Girls Basketball - Newcomb defeated Mescalero Apache 71-53 at the Mescalero Holiday Tournament. Skyla Enjady led the Lady Chiefs with 13 points, Molly Pena had 10, Laurdis Sundayman and Liz Rocha each had 9 and Jade Artiaga 8. The Lady Chiefs dropped to 4-2 ans will play Alamo Navajo at 11 AM on Saturday.
