Volunteers Pouring Hundreds of Donated Hours Into Ensuring Christmas on MainStreet Success Dec 7th 4 pm to 9 pm

December 7th is all about Christmas in the downtown district of Alamogordo MainStreet (the New York Avenue Business District). This year the festivities are expanded from the 900 Block of New York Avenue to include 10th Street, 12th Street and the New York Avenue businesses from 900 New York Avenue to Memories Restaurant at 1223 New York Avenue.

Volunteers under the leadership of Alamogordo MainStreet President Claudia Loya, and Executive Director Nolan Ojeda are pouring hundreds of hours of service into making the 2024 Christmas on MainStreet coming up this Saturday from 4 pm to 9 pm a huge success.

Music will be playing on all three blocks with the main stage on 10th Street..

And Live Music at 1209 New York from 6 pm to 8 pm with Sage Gentlewing.

Merchants in the construction area of the 900 Block of New York Avenue such as Victoria Alamogordo, Zias Comics, Roadrunner Emporium and more are open. The contractors Genera Hydronics Utilities made special accommodations building an access ramp on New York Avenue to ensure accessible access from 10th Street to New York Avenue for safety .

Volunteers to include the city of Alamogordo's construction project manager and project engineer has even donated his personal time to help build Santa's Village for Christmas on MainStreet proving it does take a village. So many little Santa are helpers hard at work preparing for Christmas on MainStreet 2024 working day and night together to create a special Alamogordo Christmas event.

Food vendors are going to be throughout the event and in distric restaurants are open for the Christmas on MainStreet event around the 1200 Block such as Asian Garden, along with La Cocinita at 213 East 12th at New York across from Wells Fargo and Memories Restaurant at 1223 New York Avenue. MoniCakes will be serving baked goods out of the Flickinger Center which will also be hosting Alamogordo Music Theaters performance of a Christmas Carol.

The 1200 Block will be full of special surprises from Our Little Country Store on 12th facing Wells Fargo, Emerald City Collectibles next door, food from La Concinta and more plus live music at AlamogordoTownNews.org's Studio Q  streetside, plus some other unque surprises. 

Santa will be showcased and more. The weather has turned a bit crisp for a feeling of Christmas this weekend. Come on out snd check out the festivities from 4 pm to 9 pm. Alamogordo's MainStreet District around New York Avenue is eager to celebrate with you! 4 pm to 9 pm. See you there!
