Entry to the Airport Open House is free! The EAA's Ford Tri-Motor Tour is coming to Alamogordo! The Ford Tri-Motor will be at the Alamogordo-White Sands Regional Airport from Thursday, April 11 through Sunday, April 14.
There will be airplanes on display, law enforcement and firefighting vehicles, food vendors, and model airplanes.
The Tri-Motor is an early airliner used for both regional and transcontinental flights. This airplane was built in 1929 and was fully restored in the 1980s and early 1990s. It is the type of airplane used by Transcontinental Air Transport to introduce the first transcontinental airline service.
