LAS CRUCES, N.M. — April 18, 2026 — The Alamogordo Tigers had a strong showing at Saturday's Las Cruces Invitational, with both the boys and girls programs finishing second in the team standings and each sending multiple athletes on to the state qualifying standard.

State Qualifiers
Four Alamogordo performances reached the state qualifying standard on the day:
The Alamogordo girls put up three event wins on the day. Macey Sebring and Sydney Hunter swept the top two spots in the 100 dash with times of 13.13 and 13.21, respectively. Elizabeth Farmer won the 1600 run in 5:38.66, and Addison Chamberlain topped the Girls Pole Vault at 9-0 to punch her state ticket.
On the relay front, Alamogordo dominated. The Girls 1600 Sprint Medley team of Sebring, Pamphile, Hunter, and Farmer won in 4:16.62, the Girls 4x200 squad of Sebring, Pamphile, Simental, and Hunter won in 1:44.56, and the Girls 4x400 team of Simental, Padilla, Colorado, and Gonzalez took the top spot in 4:10.75.
Other notable performances included Breanna Padilla (2nd, 800 — 2:34.87), Simone Pamphile (2nd, Long Jump — 15-11.5), Analiyah Vaughn (3rd, Discus — 89-9), and Addyson Gonzalez (3rd, High Jump — 4-6; 4th, 400 — 1:02.73; 5th, 1600 — 6:05.12).



The Alamogordo boys came just 4.5 points shy of winning the meet outright, falling to Organ Mountain 113.50–109. Yadie Torrado had a standout day, winning the 110 Hurdles in 15.71 to earn a state qualifier while also finishing 3rd in the 300 Hurdles (43.38) and 5th in the High Jump (5-8). Nathan Cereceres won the 400 in 50.74 and finished second in the 100 (11.27), while also placing second in the Triple Jump (41-5).
Matthew Snyder continued his strong season with a 2nd-place finish in the 1600 (4:33.88). Andrew Woolen contributed with a 2nd-place throw in the Discus (131-5). On the relay side, the 4x100 team of Bowman, Benitez, Best, and Cereceres finished 2nd in 43.15, and the 1600 Sprint Medley relay placed 2nd in 3:48.60.



Alamogordo will be back in action this coming Friday when the Tigers host the Coach Bob Sepulveda Invitational at home at the Bob Sepulveda Track and Field at Tiger Stadium.
