The Alamogordo High School tennis teams split results in recent matches against Las Cruces-area opponents, with the girls picking up a strong win while both squads faced tough competition.

vs. Mayfield (Senior Day at Home)

The Alamogordo Girls defeated Mayfield 6-3 in a well-played match at Oregon Park Tennis Courts. The Lady Tigers secured key victories in both singles and doubles.

Girls Singles Winners:

• Talee Westover – straight sets

• Bella Romero – straight sets

• Cali Spencer – straight sets

• Shelby Romero – in three sets

Girls Doubles Winners:

• Westover / Bella Romero – straight sets

• Shelby Romero / Spencer – straight sets

The Alamogordo Boys fell to Mayfield 7-2.

Boys Singles Winner:

• Dallin Albiston – straight sets

Boys Doubles Winner:

• Tate Westover / Dallin Albiston – in three sets

vs. Organ Mountain (Away)

The Alamogordo Girls were defeated by Organ Mountain 7-2.

• Cali Spencer – straight sets

Girls Doubles Winner:

• Shelby Romero / Cali Spencer – straight sets

The Alamogordo Boys were shut out by Organ Mountain 9-0.
