ALAMOGORDO, New Mexico — The Alamogordo High School boys’ basketball team rallied from a one-point deficit after the first quarter to secure a convincing 67-55 victory over Los Lunas on Monday night at the Tiger Pit.
Los Lunas held a slim 12-11 lead after the opening period, but the Tigers exploded in the second quarter to take control, outscoring their visitors 17-5 to lead 28-17 at halftime. Alamogordo maintained momentum through the second half, pulling away for the 12-point non-conference win.
Jaedyn Hernandez paced the Tigers with a game-high 18 points. William Bynum added 14, while Ethan Grinder and Jaycob Ochoa each contributed 10. Julian Favela chipped in 8 points in the balanced attack.
The win improves Alamogordo’s record to 11-3 on the season. The Tigers will look to keep rolling when they travel to face Clovis on Friday.
