New Mexico State Police announced the arrest of Jerome Naranjo, a wanted fugitive with multiple felony warrants, following a coordinated operation in Española earlier this week.
District 7 patrol officers first received information on December 6 regarding Naranjo’s location. Working with the Crime Suppression Bureau, investigators confirmed he was staying in a camper trailer at 59 Private Drive, Lot 1130.
At approximately 12:30 p.m. on December 8, NMSP Special Operations agents conducted a surround-and-callout at the residence. Naranjo exited the trailer and was taken into custody without incident.
During questioning, Naranjo admitted there were firearms and narcotics inside the trailer. A search warrant was executed later that day, leading to the seizure of:
• Four rifles
• Two pistols
• 14.2 grams of fentanyl powder
• 1.2 grams of suspected Suboxone
• Three cell phones, one iPad, one laptop
• One stolen pop-up travel trailer
Naranjo was transported to the Cibola County federal holding facility, where he was booked on active state and federal felony warrants, including felon in possession of a firearm. Authorities say the investigation remains active and additional charges are expected.
This arrest highlights the ongoing efforts of New Mexico State Police to address violent crime and narcotics trafficking across northern New Mexico.

Please, elaborate.
