Local Athletes Earn All-District Volleyball Honors; Anderson Named Tiger Athlete of the Week

Alamogordo, NM — November 22, 2025

The fall sports season continues to shine a spotlight on local talent, as athletes from Alamogordo and Tularosa were recognized this week with All-District volleyball honors. In addition, Tiger Cheer standout Brooklyn Anderson has been named Tiger Athlete of the Week, sponsored by Tularosa Basin Telephone Company/Tularosa Communications, Inc. and The Winners’ Circle and hosted by 101.9 FM 1230 AM Alamo Sports. 

Alamogordo Volleyball – District 3-5A

• Second Team: Khloe Lunar

• Honorable Mention: Imari Solaita and Shaylee Weaver

The Lady Tigers’ recognition reflects the team’s resilience and competitive spirit throughout the district season, with Lunar earning a spot on the second team and Solaita and Weaver receiving honorable mention nods.

Tularosa Volleyball – District 4-3A

• Gabby Salas

• Emma Quintanilla

Both Salas and Quintanilla were named to the All-District team, underscoring the Wildcats’ strong presence in 4-3A play and their contributions to a successful campaign.

Tiger Athlete of the Week

Brooklyn Anderson of Tiger Cheer was honored on November 21, 2025, for her leadership, dedication, and spirit. Anderson’s recognition highlights the vital role cheer plays in energizing teams and fans alike, and her commitment exemplifies the values celebrated by the weekly award.
