Las Cruces, NM — The Alamogordo High School golf teams delivered a commanding performance at the Organ Mountain Fall Invitational held at Red Hawk Golf Club, with the boys clinching first place and the girls securing a solid second-place finish in a competitive field.
The Tiger boys posted a team score of 324 to top the leaderboard, led by a stellar round from Andrez Montoya, who claimed individual medalist honors with a 75. Teammates Landon Wright and Dyson Wright both tied for second with matching scores of 77, showcasing the squad’s depth and consistency. Brody Wright, Kolton Stagner, and Jacobi Saldevar each tied for ninth with rounds of 85, while Ethan Shaffer rounded out the team effort with an 86, tying for 12th.
On the girls’ side, the Lady Tigers tallied a team score of 350 to earn second place overall. Ellie Clore led the charge with an 84, good for third place individually. Tatum Wright followed closely behind in fourth with an 86, and Ava Armijo secured fifth with an 87. Annelisia Herrera and Kylee Wright contributed to the team’s strong showing, finishing ninth (93) and 14th (99), respectively.
Both teams now set their sights on the Hobbs Fall Invitational, scheduled for next Monday, where they’ll look to build on their momentum and continue their strong fall campaign.
