Alamogordo, NM — NFL Hall of Fame Recipient, Terry Bradshaw brought his legendary charisma and heartfelt wisdom to the Tays Center in Alamogordo Monday night, captivating a crowd of approximately 125 to 150 attendees during a free community gathering hosted by the Sacramento Mountain Foundation.

The event, designed to uplift and unite the Alamogordo community, featured Bradshaw in a rare, up-close setting. Though he began his talk on stage, the four-time Super Bowl champion quickly stepped down into the aisles, walking among the audience and speaking directly to individuals—transforming the evening into an intimate and electrifying experience.

“I didn’t come here to talk at you—I came to talk with you,” Bradshaw said, standing shoulder-to-shoulder with attendees. “That’s what real leadership is: being present, being human.”
Bradshaw’s speech was a masterclass in connection, blending humor, humility, and deeply personal reflections. He spoke candidly about his struggles with anxiety and depression, emphasizing the importance of vulnerability and mental health awareness. “I’ve battled demons you can’t see,” he shared. “But talking about it doesn’t make you weak—it makes you brave.”
Among the most powerful moments of the evening was Bradshaw’s interaction with the Alamogordo Tigers football team, with several players attending in uniform. He praised their dedication and encouraged them to lead with integrity both on and off the field. “Play with heart, not just muscle,” he told them. “Your character will carry you further than any touchdown ever will.”
Bradshaw also reflected on his faith and family, crediting them as the anchors that helped him weather the highs and lows of fame. “Faith gave me purpose. Family gave me strength. Football gave me a platform—but those two gave me life.”
His advice to young athletes struck a chord with the crowd, especially when he addressed fear and resilience: “Getting sacked on the field taught me how to bounce back in life. You don’t win by avoiding hits—you win by getting up after them.”
The Sacramento Mountain Foundation, committed to community enrichment and education, organized the event as a gift to the people of Alamogordo. Their goal: to bring world-class inspiration to local soil—and Bradshaw delivered.
For Alamogordo, Bradshaw’s lecture was more than a celebrity visit. It was a night of connection, encouragement, and community spirit—led by a football icon who reminded everyone that greatness begins with humility and heart.

Yep, Cota is not ready for a public office let alone a Mayor.
Any chance Anthony Lucero would interview Ted Morgan?
There’s a thing called reactive abuse. It can be used to bring frivolous, costly lawsuits (aka lawfare). Please educate yourself so you do not fall for harassment baiting. There are some very interesting videos on Youtube about it.
Great article. You do not even have to name the people, I already know who you are talking about. Keep speaking the truth. Love it.

First my Facebook page got shut down after I got attacked by a hostile group of strangers... First they came for me. Then I offered you a chance to read what was going on with me as a warning, and you didn't want to.
New sidewalks for some neighborhoods. What about the Walker area that is also in her district. Seeing is believing, Walker area has always been ignored.
Have you ever messaged her about it, or are you just complaining to complain? Her actions speak louder than all the other commissioners combined.
She championed and approved $12 million dollars worth of Water system upgrades for walker road and yet you choose to ignore that. It is in the design phase with contract bidding to be announed in early 2026 with work to begin in later spring. That is the largest capital investment in Walker Road in over 50 years.
Did anyone see what Senator Charles Grassley is saying about AI yesterday. What does that have to do with this? It might explain why legal systems in many cities are such a mess.
But also: Why is no one talking about the DISMAL low income housing in Alamogordo, and the need to investigate what is going on in those places, and the lack of housing for homeless???????????

It is interesting as you delve into the family, business and indeed religious connections that are intertwined in city politics. Some folks have a whole lit of fleas scratching the dog.
Absolutely true lots of fleas itching the dog!!
I somehow got logged out without doing so since last time I was here. I wanted to view the Flickinger meeting on Facebook but cannot because my account was taken down. I do not attend these public events because of all the attempts to mess with my life already.
