Mayor Susan Payne, Mayor Pro Tem Sharon McDonald, leadership from Alamogordo Mainstreet, the Tularosa Basin Historic Society along with community supporters of the newly refurbished Rocket City Fun Center were invited Friday evening to a sneak peak preview of the offferings of the fun center scheduled to open officially Friday night at 5 pm.
This journalist along several community members were excited to participate in this sneak peak. We loved it! We were not disappointed.
Affordable and abundant food choices are available served at the lanes and of course in the restaurant as one enters the facility. Menu choices include one of my favorites fried dill pickles, pepperoni pizza available by the slice or in whole, for healthier choices wonderful fresh salads. For the dinners seeking a more substantial meal angus burgers with a side and 3 steak choices, New York Cut, Ribeye and Sirloin. And affordable! All 3 steak choices are under $30 dollars including a side a price comparable to a night at Chili's or Applebees. Speciality drinks are offered as well as faux mixed drinks for the kids, hotdogs, chicken wings, and more.
We feasted on a variety of different foods all excellent and abundant portions filling the tummies of everyone in our group.
Hint the coconut cream pie is delicious, rich and a perfect way to end an evening of fun along worh fresh delicious coffee.
In addition to bowling and fine dining, there are the offerings of games and a the lazer tag was a wonderfully exhilarating experience for all ages to enjoy.
It was an amazing experience to see Mayor Payne and Mayor Pro Tem McDonald all smiles, engaged in fun and happy, along with the many people present Friday evening. It is great to see the Inn of the Mountain Gods leadership take a leading roll in bringing fun for all ages back to Alamogordo - safe, affordable and fun!
