The Alamogordo Public Schools 2025 Summer Internship Program and the Ferguson Academy has completed it’s summer program with great success.
Over the past few weeks, several Alamogordo High School students have gained hands-on experience, grown professionally, and explored real-world careers in fields like banking, building trades, technology, and others.
APS expressed their gratitude to dedicated district mentors for investing their time, expertise, and support into our students, and to LOCO Credit Union for being an outstanding community partner throughout this journey.

The Ferguson Academy interns officially completed their internship, gaining hands-on experience in law enforcement and public safety through a program that honors the legacy of Alamogordo Officer Anthony Ferguson.
Over the past few weeks, these students trained alongside the dedicated professionals of the Alamogordo Police Department and Alamogordo Fire Department, building skills, confidence, and a deeper understanding of what it means to protect others.Congratulations to each of our Ferguson Academy graduates!

Also concluding this week was Cyber Camp where students dove deep into the digital world, learning how to stay safe, smart, and responsible online! From exploring cyber ethics and online safety to understanding how computers work and what makes virtual machines tick, our campers were fully engaged.
They also tackled real-world threats like malware and phishing, played Packet Protector to defend their own networks, and explored tools and strategies that cybersecurity experts use every day.
With hands-on activities, team challenges, and even a round of Tetris to recharge, our future cyber defenders are gaining the skills to protect and lead in today’s tech-driven world! This is a camp that would have been ideal for several adults to learn from.
Congratulations to the many APS participants.

Any chance Anthony Lucero would interview Ted Morgan?
There’s a thing called reactive abuse. It can be used to bring frivolous, costly lawsuits (aka lawfare). Please educate yourself so you do not fall for harassment baiting. There are some very interesting videos on Youtube about it.
Great article. You do not even have to name the people, I already know who you are talking about. Keep speaking the truth. Love it.

First my Facebook page got shut down after I got attacked by a hostile group of strangers... First they came for me. Then I offered you a chance to read what was going on with me as a warning, and you didn't want to.
New sidewalks for some neighborhoods. What about the Walker area that is also in her district. Seeing is believing, Walker area has always been ignored.
Have you ever messaged her about it, or are you just complaining to complain? Her actions speak louder than all the other commissioners combined.

It is in the design phase with contract bidding to be announed in early 2026 with work to begin in later spring. That is the largest capital investment in Walker Road in over 50 years.
Did anyone see what Senator Charles Grassley is saying about AI yesterday. What does that have to do with this? It might explain why legal systems in many cities are such a mess.
But also: Why is no one talking about the DISMAL low income housing in Alamogordo, and the need to investigate what is going on in those places, and the lack of housing for homeless???????????
