Ruidoso High School Cheer Wins 3A State Title Overall State Results and Upcoming State Championships

The New Mexico Athletic and Activities Association held the state championships in cheerleading and dance this past weekend. Congratulations to all the winners and competitors at the 2024 Life of an Athlete State Spirit Championships presented by NMDOT and we have the details and state results to follow…

Locally,  Congratulations to Ruidoso who won the state title in Cheerleading for 3 A schools. Nearby neighboring Las Cruces schools ranked in the top in Co-Ed Cheerleading ; Organ Mountain, followed by Centennial and then Hobbs placed with trophies for the 5 A schools. 

In the 5A Non Co-Ed School category which Alamogordo High School participated they ranked 9th. The winners in that group were La Cueva, Rio Rancho and Eldorado.

 In the 4 A Non Co-Ed School category Taos, St Pius X and Valley carried home trophies. 

In state 4A Co-Ed Lovington, Bernanillo followed by Bloomfield carried home trophies. 
 
In 2A cheer the titles went to Maxwell, Questa and Clayton. Tularosa placed 12th overall and Cloudcroft placed 17th.

STATE POWERLIFTING CHAMPIONSHIPS
The 2024 International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and National Electrical Contractors Association State Powerlifting Championships will take place this coming weekend at the Rio Rancho Events Center. The Girls Championships will take place Friday, April 12th and the Boys on Saturday, April 13th. Tickets are on sale now at gofan.co/nmaa. Reminder to all fans, re-entry into the facility is only allowed with a Day Pass.
