What’s Happening at Otero Arts Spring Summer 2024

Otero Arts Inc  located at 1118 Indiana Street in Alamogordo has an aggressive agenda and schedule of events planned for Spring and Sunmer of 2024. During the month of April the venue will be hosting their 2nd Annual Student Art Exhibit.  They will have a reception on Friday April 5th from 4 to 6 PM at 1118 Indiana Avenue. The gallery will be open Thursday through Sunday, 1 to 4 PM each day during April. Artwork is provided from students from 11 area schools.

As the month and season progresses many more activities are planned to include:

Gallery hours: Thursday - Sunday 1-4 PM​​. Art exhibits open on 1st Fridays and remain up for the month. Children's workshops are on 2nd Saturdays at 10 AM. Adult workshops follow at 1 PM.

​April 5: Reception for Student Show April exhibit, 4 - 6 PM

April 13: Children & Adult Collage Workshops, 10 AM & 1 PM

April 19: Otero Arts Reading Series - Slam Poet Zachary Kluckman, 6:00 PM

April 14: Three Rivers Concert at Otero Artspace (neo-country-folk), 2 - 4 PM

April 26: Shakespeare Birthday Review - comedy-drama-musical, 7 - 9 PM

May 11: Children & Adult Notan (Japanese Paper Art) Workshops, 10 AM & 1 PM

May 17: String ensemble Camerata del Sol with a program of Brahms, Puccini, and Gershwin

​June: Veteran Arts Showcase. Schedule and info

​June 8: Children & Adult Folk Art Workshops, 10 AM & 1 PM

​July 13: Children & Adult Sandpainting Workshops, 10 AM & 1 PM

Otero Arts is a membership and volunteer driven organization created to support the arts community of Otero County, New Mexico. With the studio in the historic Woman’s Club Building at 1118 Indiana Street, hosted on the edge of Alamogordo’s budding downtown neighborhood cultural arts and history district.
