Congratulations to Tularosa High School as both the boys and girls move forward in the state basketball championship rounds.
Boys Basketball -No. 3 Tularosa defeated No. 6 Texico 55 to 52 in the 2A State Tournament Quarterfinals. Dillon Salazar led the Wildcats with 23 points, Estevan Barraza and Jalen Randall each had 10 points. The Wildcats advance to the 2A Semifinals and will play on Friday at 8 AM at The Pit in Albuquerque against the winner of No. 2 Eunice or No. 7 Pecos.
Girls Basketball - No. 4 Tularosa defeated No. 5 Menaul 39-35 in the 2A State Tournament Quarterfinals. Nevaeh Apachito and Aaralyn Stephens led the Lady Cats with 14 points each. The Lady Cats advance to the semifinals vs. No. 1 Mesa Vista or No. 8 Laguna Acoma, Thursday at 6:30 PM at the Rio Rancho Events Center.
In area softball Softball - FINAL - Alamogordo defeated Silver 4 to 2. The Lady Tigers improved their record to 3-1 and they next play at La Cueva on Monday March 25th, 2024.

I believe that even as a former construction worker who would seem to want better rules in place, you'll end up agreeing that the proposed rules go to far.
