Keep Alamogordo Beautiful's mission of Keep Alamogordo Beautiful, an affiliate of Keep America Beautiful, Incorporated, is to serve the citizens of Alamogordo, by developing and implementing effective public education and community improvement programs.

Keep Alamogordo Beautiful (KAB) is a community volunteer organization dedicated to making Alamogordo a more beautiful place to live, work, and play. We achieve this goal through a variety of programs and initiatives, including:

  • Litter cleanups: We organize regular litter cleanups throughout the city to remove trash and debris from our streets, parks, and waterways.
  • Graffiti removal: We remove graffiti from public property to keep our city looking its best.
  • Recycling education: We provide recycling education to businesses and residents to help them reduce their waste.
  • Adopt-a-spot: We offer an "adopt-a-spot" program that allows individuals and businesses to take ownership of a specific city area and commit to keeping it clean and litter-free.

Funding for KAB comes from a variety of sources, including:

  • Individual donations: We rely on the generosity of individuals to support our work.
  • Business sponsorships: We partner with businesses to fund our programs and initiatives.
  • Government grants: We receive assistance from the City of Alamogordo and the New Mexico Tourism Department.
  • Fundraising events: We hold fundraising events yearly to raise money for KAB.
