Otero Arts Lecture Series: On November 19th, The Discovery of Creekside Village will be presented by David Greenwald, President of Jornada Research and Director of the Tularosa Canyon Archaeological Program. This presentation is co-sponsored by the Otero Arts Center located at 1118 Indiana Avenue in Alamogordo. Doors will open at 6:00 pm and the presentation will begin at 6:30. Come early to learn more about Jornada Research Institute and our various programs designed to make “EDUCATION AWESOME”. This presentation will be the first of a series that discusses the numerous contributions that JRI’s research in Tularosa Canyon has made to the archaeological studies of this area and the greater Southwest. With nearly 12 years invested in the study of this site, numerous discoveries and unexpected surprises reveal just how advanced the Jornada Mogollon were 1200 to 1400 years ago.
