Evelyn Bernice Nowell Webb went home to her lord on August 27, 2026, at the age of 83.
Evelyn was born to Leon and Mary Nowell on November 17, 1942, in Alamogordo , New Mexico. She grew up in Tularosa and graduated from Tularosa High School in 1960. Later that same year, she married the love of her life, Dennis Webb.
Evelyn's love of adventure and travel began during her early years with Dennis.While he served in the Marine Corps, they lived in California, Arizona and North Carolina. Later in life Evelyn was blessed with the opportunity to see even more of the world. She visited 28 different countries an loved nothing more than sharing the stories and memories of her adventures with others.
Throughout her life, Evelyn wore many hats. She cleaned rooms, waited tables, worked as a telephone operator, and eventually retired from the State pf New Mrexico as an executive secretary. Whatever she was doing, she brought her own warmth, humor and personality to it.
Evelyn was a longtime member of the Tularosa Church of the Nazarene. When the Tularosa church closed, she became a member of Angus Church of the Nazarene. Her Faith was an important part of her life, and she faithfully served her church as a member of the church board, church secretary and treasurer.
Those who knew Evelyn will remember her wonderful sense of humor, her love of a good joke and a good giggle, and, most of all, her beautiful smile. She had a way of bringing joy and laugher to those around her. Her wit, humor and loving spirit will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters; her brother; her husband, Dennis Webb; son, Dennis Webb Jr; and her daughter, Cheryl Parker.
She leaved behind to cherish her memory her son, Brandon Webb of Colorado Springs, CO; daughter, Beverly Brazel (Joe) of Capitan, NM; grandchildren, Keena Brazel of Capitan, New Mexico; Micharl Brazel (Janet) of Tucumcari, New Mexico; Cameron Parker of Tularosa, New Mexico; Dennis Webb (Samantha) of Spanaway, Washington; her beloved great-granddaughters, Avery, Adalynn and Willow Eve, who were the light and joy of her life; and her sister, Joyce Yearlt of Fort Collins, Colorado.
In lieu of flowers, Evelyn requested that donations be made to Bonita Park Campground.
A celebration of Evelyn's life will be held September 5, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Angus Church of the Nazarene, located at 103 Bonita Park, Angus, New Mexico. Lunch will follow at the same location.
The family has entrusted their loved one to the care of New Dawn Cremations for direct cremation.
