A Heartfelt Thank You: Standing Firm, Growing Stronger

Over the past month, 2nd Life Media AlamogordoTownNews.org and KALHRadio.org have been overwhelmed—in the best possible way—by the outpouring of support from our community and readers across the country. We want to extend our deepest gratitude to every subscriber, listener, viewer, and sharer who has stood with us as we delivered unflinching political news coverage and in-depth stories examining both major political parties in New Mexico.

Your support has been nothing short of remarkable. In just the past month, we have welcomed 2,672 new subscribers across our various platforms. A record in single month subscribers. When people attack us our subscribers increase. So, weirdly-thank you to our antagonist, you are helping to grow our online presence.

Even more telling, our principled response to attempts at political pressure has driven record engagement: one major story and its accompanying video content surpassed 127,567 downloads and views—a single-story benchmark never before reached in our history.

This surge in readership and listenership extends far beyond the streets of Alamogordo and the borders of New Mexico. What began as local accountability journalism has resonated nationally, shining a spotlight on the very real issue of press suppression attempts by local politicians. The recent demands directed at our publication—to retract accurate reporting, remove stories, and reveal confidential sources—are not unique to our small town. They reflect a troubling pattern playing out in communities across America, where independent voices face intimidation when they refuse to shy away from scrutinizing those in power, regardless of party affiliation.

We have not backed down, and we will not. Our commitment remains unchanged: to report facts honestly, hold all public officials accountable under the same standards, and defend the fundamental role of a free and independent press in a healthy democracy. The overwhelming public response—through new subscriptions, record downloads, messages of encouragement, and widespread sharing—proves that readers and listeners value courageous, transparent journalism more than ever.

To our growing audience in Alamogordo, across New Mexico, and now in states far beyond: thank you. Your support affirms that small-town independent media still matters. It shows that when local press refuses to yield to suppression, the story doesn’t end in silence—it echoes nationwide.

We remain dedicated to serving you with honest reporting on politics, community issues, culture, and the stories that shape our lives. As we move forward, we do so with renewed energy, knowing we have your trust and backing.

Together, we are proving that independent journalism—rooted in truth and unafraid of power—can thrive even in the face of opposition.

Thank you again, from all of us at 2nd Life Media, Alamogordo Town News, and KALH Radio and our board supporting us in our content creation at Southwestern Trails Cultural Heritage Association (STCHA).
