Power Outages and Heavy Rains Hit Alamogordo after Midnight

About mindnight residents of Alamogordo were treated to a delightful lighting show showing mother natures finest symphony of light and thunder. The power was knocked off for about 5200 local residents and back on by 3:30 am for most. Somedowntown business owners mentioned water coming down 12th Street and into their doorways. 
Limites damage reported but we will be monitoring reports as the sun rises and people awake. Stay tuned...
