At the New Mexico High School Prep state basketball championships No. 4 Tularosa defeatex No. 13 East Mountain 50 to 40 in the 3A State Tournament Division.
The Wildcats advance to 3A Quarter finals and will play No. 5 Bosque on Wednesday at 9:45 AM at the Rio Rancho Events Center.
Zaine Hodges led the Wildcats with 13 points, Seth Kazhe had 10, Estevan Barraza with 9, Eluciano Gonzales, Fabian Pacheco and Jacoby Apachito each had 6.
In the Girls State Basketball Championships No. 11 Mescalero Apache defeated No. 6 Texico 49-44 in the 2A State Tournament.
Laurdis Sundayman led the Lady Chiefs with 16 points, K-Rae Chino had 10, Skyla Enjady with 8 and Bridgette Blake had 7.
