Alamogordo Public Schools issued a release that they are proud to recognize the achievement of Anna Alday, Career & Technical Education (CTE) Coordinator, having been selected for the Association for Career and Technical Education (ACTE) 2025 National Leadership Fellowship Program. This prestigious program identifies, trains, and supports leaders in the field of CTE, equipping them with essential skills to advocate for education policies, professional development, and workforce readiness initiatives.

The ACTE National Leadership Fellowship Program, established in 2009, is a highly competitive initiative to enhance leadership and policy knowledge among CTE educators. Fellows participate in rigorous training and gain valuable experience in shaping educational practices at local, state, and federal levels. Participants receive professional development opportunities, and will attend the ACTE’s CareerTech VISION and National Policy Seminar.

Ms. Alday brings extensive expertise and dedication to her role as CTE Coordinator for Alamogordo Public Schools.

Under her leadership, the district has developed and refined 14 CTE pathways, aligning them with industry standards to ensure students earn relevant certifications that lead to high achievement and economic growth.

She has spearheaded sustainable, paid CTE and Work-Based Learning programs, bridging the gap between classroom education and workforce demands. Her efforts have garnered recognition, including the New Mexico School Board Association Award for Excellence in Student Achievement and an award from the Building Contractors Association of Otero County for her contributions to local economic development.

“This fellowship is an incredible opportunity to further expand my leadership skills and advocacy for Career and Technical Education,” said Anna Alday. “I’m committed to advancing innovative strategies that prepare students for meaningful careers while fostering economic development in our community.”

Interim Superintendent Michael Crabtree praised Alday’s achievement, stating, “Anna Alday’s selection for this prestigious fellowship is a testament to her dedication and vision for Career and Technical Education. Her innovative leadership continues to make a profound impact on our students, preparing them for successful futures and contributing to the growth of our community. We are incredibly proud of her accomplishments and excited to see her leadership journey continue.”

Alday is among 20 educators selected nationwide for the 2025 cohort, representing ACTE’s five regions and various educational divisions. The program includes two distinct cohorts: Experienced Fellows and New Professional Fellows. Alday’s inclusion in the New Professional Fellows cohort highlights her exceptional contributions early in her CTE career.
