Alamogordo Music Theater presents A Christmas Carol with a Cast Loaded with Talent

Alamogordo Music Theater is presenting A Christmas Carol premiering November 29th with additional performances on November 30th, December 1st and December 6th and 7th.

A Christmas Carol. In Prose. Being a Ghost Story of Christmas, commonly known as A Christmas Carol, is a novella by Charles Dickens, first published in London by Chapman & Hall in 1843 and illustrated by John Leech. It recounts the story of Ebenezer Scrooge, an elderly miser who is visited by the ghost of his former business partner Jacob Marley and the spirits of Christmas Past, Present and Yet to Come. In the process, Scrooge is transformed into a kinder, gentler man. It's a timeless story and a play perfect for the Alamogordo community.

Hayden Osborne, 16, plays the role of Young Marley in Alamogordo Music Theatre’s upcoming production of A Christmas Carol. A seasoned young performer, he has graced the stage in nearly 18 productions. Currently a student at Imago Dei Academy, he is also an active member of a local robotics team. With a passion for music, he enjoys playing a variety of instruments, including the viola, ukulele, bass guitar, and banjo.
Hayden’s second production with Alamogordo Music Theatre (AMT), following multiple roles in Shrek. At Children's Music Theater of Alamogordo (CMT), he has appeared in numerous productions, including:

* The Hobbit: Balin

Photo by AMT Brooke Coyazo is debuting her first stage performance outside of school with A Christmas Carol

Brooke Coyazo, a 10-year-old Alamogordo native, is a straight-A fifth-grader at Buena Vista Elementary. She enjoys spending time with her friends and excels in math and English Language Arts.

Brooke's passion for the arts began with school programs that introduced her to music and various instruments. The xylophone is her current favorite, and she's teaching herself to play the piano. However, singing remains her true love.

When she's not immersed in music, Brooke cherishes time with her family and numerous pets, particularly her rabbit, Charlie. She's also an avid baseball player, especially enjoying pitching. While she loves video games, she's equally dedicated to improving her reading skills and learning a new language. As a talented artist and creative cook, French toast is her signature dish.

Alamogordo Music Theatre’s production of A Christmas Carol will mark Brooke's debut stage performance outside of school, and she's excited to share the stage with this incredible cast. Alamogordo Music Theatre is thrilled to have Amy Bethard join the cast of A Christmas Carol. Originally from Indiana, Amy has called Alamogordo home for the past four years. A seasoned performer and avid dancer, she has graced the stage in various productions, including Grease and in The Little Mermaid. Her passion for theatre is evident, as she has also been actively involved in community theatre in Indiana were she did several plays, with Bye Bye Birdie being a particular favorite.

Amy's family has wholeheartedly embraced the local theatre scene. Her daughter, Aurora, has showcased her talent in productions with the Children's Music Theater of Alamogordo, including Beauty and the Beast and Seussical as a Wichersham monkey. Amy's husband, Andy, a skilled contractor, has contributed his expertise to set design for these productions and is currently hard at work on the set for A Christmas Carol. Their youngest daughter, Abrielle, is eager to follow in her sister's footsteps and hopes to audition for an upcoming CMT production.

When not performing or supporting her family’s theatrical endeavors, Amy balances her time between her role at First Savings Bank and her talent for photography. A dedicated reader and podcast listener, she finds joy in the simple pleasures of life.

As a lifelong fan of the story of A Christmas Carol. It's always been her favorite Christmas story and movie. Amy is excited to bring this beloved story to life on stage as ensemble.

Anna Katherine Page and her Husband, five children, and golden retriever relocated to the vibrant city of Alamogordo in July 2024. Anna Katherine’s husband, a talented musician, assumed the role of music director at the esteemed Grace Methodist Church, while Anna Katherine, with her deep-rooted passion for nurturing children both in fun and spiritually, took on the position of director of children’s ministries.

A graduate of Southern Methodist University, Anna Katherine earned her degree in music with a specialized focus on violin and orchestral studies. However, her heart has always been drawn to the captivating world of musical theater. As soon as the family settled in Alamogordo, her children eagerly immersed themselves in the local community musical theatre Children's Music Theater of Alamogordo (CMT), quickly becoming integral members of the thriving theater community.

A lifelong devotee of choral music, Anna Katherine has spent countless hours singing in choirs. Now, she embraces the exciting opportunity to step onto the stage for the first time in an ensemble role with Alamogordo Music Theatre’s production of “A Christmas Carol.” Anna Katherine is eager to contribute her talents and experience to the vibrant theater scene of Alamogordo

Coco Marie has always been an avid enthusiast of the arts, including poetry, art history, music, dance, and theater. Her talents developed over the years, from high school to college, through drama, choir, and dance, even poetry and karaoke contests!

This passion followed her into college while pursuing a degree in ECE. She volunteered teaching a variety of dance classes for all ages, plus leading an exciting nightlife for 7 years with The Seattle Karaoke League.

Still fairly new to Alamogordo, Coco Marie enjoys cooking/baking, working, and caring for kids and animals. She is excited to be joining this production of "A Christmas Carol" with the Alamogordo Music Theater. Her joy and dedicated involvement in keeping the arts alive make her a promising addition to the local theater scene.

Alamogordo Music Theatre is thrilled to welcome Heather S. Jones to its talented ensemble. A relatively new resident of Alamogordo, having moved to the area just a few years ago, Heather brings a fresh perspective and enthusiasm to the stage.
Inspired by the vibrant and engaging productions at Alamogordo Music Theatre, Heather decided to make some new memories and contribute to the local arts scene. Joining the ensemble for A Christmas Carol, Heather is eager to create lasting memories and share her love of theatre with the community.

Joshua Chew is bringing his passion and talent to the role of ensemble in Alamogordo Music Theatre’s production of A Christmas Carol. A lifelong resident of the Alamogordo area, Joshua has been deeply involved with the local theater community since joining AMT while dating his now-wife, Kasi.

With a background in music and a love for working with his hands, Joshua has found his niche in the theater world. He has not only performed on stage in productions like The Little Mermaid but has also contributed significantly behind the scenes. As a skilled machinist for the Air Force and a dedicated volunteer with Children's Music Theater of Alamogordo, Joshua has played a vital role in building sets and other technical aspects of productions.

His dedication to Alamogordo Music Theatre and his passion for the stage are evident in his portrayal of his ensemble roles. Audiences can expect a heartfelt and nuanced performance from this actor.
