Save the date of September 21st, 2024 at 7:30 pm for a very special hero's welcome home. This Welcome Home to Heros event is hosted by the Patriot Guard Riders and the US Veterans Motorcycle Club, Trinity Chapter and Honor Flight
The public is invited and encouraged to join AlamogordoTownNews.com and KRAZY KALHRadio.org, as we join the community at the Fairgrounds September 21st 2024 at 7:30 pm.
Let's ensure we have a crowd of people waving flags and carrying signs welcoming home three local Vietnam Veterans from their Honor Flight.
The Honor Flight Van will be escorted by police, and the Patriot Guard Riders and the US Veterans Motorcycle Club, Trinity Chapter will come up White Sands Boulevard and to the fairgrounds for a hero's welcome and a meet and greet.
The travel plans for Honor Flight include the veterans departing from Las Cruces they fly out of El Paso to Washington DC. They will go to many sites in the DC area including Arlington and the War memorials. They will return to a “heroes welcome” at El Paso airport with their flight. They will then be escorted via the Texas State Police with assistance from the El Paso Police Department, the New Mexico State Police, the Patriot Guard Riders and the US Veterans Motorcycle Club along with the Alamogordo Police Department to bring them back to Alamogordo and be welcomed back to the fairgrounds. The Alamogordo Police Department will meet them at the city limits and will provide a police escort down White Sands Blvd to the fairgrounds for the reception.
Honor Flight of Southern New Mexico and El Paso transports America's World War II, Korean and Vietnam War Veterans to Washington DC to visit the memorials built to honor and remember those who served. This trip of a lifetime provides closure, healing and the welcome home these heroes deserve. Every Veteran is taken on the flight at no cost to themselves. Another disgruntled employee pandering to the government to save whatever failed in real life? Public employees are totally brainwashed into thinking that every problem has to be, and can be, solved by the government. Only they know. Why can't this guy raise the money and buy it to do what his vision is?
Imo, Mr. Dooling’s suggestions seem like a great way to preserve the observatory. If we stand by and watch it be demolished ($10m demo cost), where would the contaminated materials go?
Source of Revenue? For who? Some non-profit that gets government grants to pay for incompetent managers? They can't keep a liquor store open in Cloudcroft. Now, maybe they can make it an RV park.
Sunny, with a high of 86 and low of 71 degrees. Sunny during the morning, clear overnight.
This is really good news because publicly we see that Brian Caesar is Amy Barela's cousin. Both are big fat losers who do nothing but whine and cry after riding the gravy train and doing nothing for decades. Let's Make Alamogordo Great Again and buy some Pampers for the crybabies.
Heck yeah! What size do you wear?
I see constant belittling by Josefosky? Notice what makes political opinions unique. Nobody lectures their electrician about voltage, but this one holds strong opinions on politics and economics because these things feel knowable because of low-education blogs.
What outstanding qualities does Mr. Hernandez possess that got him appointed as a City Commissioner for District 5?
The same as every other member: They're brain-dead poseurs who bully anyone trying to ask a question and therefore gain membership in the butt boy club of old school fools that could screw up a two-car funeral and not get a ticket. And these amateurs run your water system!
Thank you for your continued, detailed coverage of both the County Commission and City Commission meetings. Decisions made by both of these governing bodies directly affect everyone in Otero County, Republicans, Democrats, Independents and Undecided.
this is a sad ending, but certainly not unexpected.
