The Alamogordo City Commission canceled its scheduled meeting yesterday as a result of hearing the news and out of respect in heartful condolences of the passing of Sadaya Burnette.
Sadaya Burnette is the daughter of Monica Coble, and City Commissioner Steve Burnette.
The Republican Party of Otero County released the following statement and tribute on behalf of the family…
“It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we extend our sincerest condolences to all upon hearing the heartbreaking news of Sadaya Burnette's passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with each member of their families during this incredibly difficult time.
Sadaya's untimely departure has left an permanent void in the hearts of all who knew her. Her radiant presence, remarkable talents, and vibrant spirit have touched countless lives within the community, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever endure.
As the daughter of Monica Coble, esteemed President of the FRW of Otero County, and City Commissioner Steve Burnette, a respected business owner, Sadaya was not only a beloved member of her family but also a shining beacon within our community. Her recent performance in "Beauty and the Beast" showcased her immense talent and passion for the arts, further solidifying her place in our hearts and minds. Her smile will radiate throughout county forever. Sadaya, a life taken so young but left such an impact in our community while with us will be remembered always
