The normally sleepy village of Cloudcroft also known as New Mexico’s Christmas City appears to be facing a crisis of confidence in the village leadership and go forward plans for the village. The village hosted a commission meeting today and on the agenda was the announced resignation of police Chief Mike Testa.
Recently Cloudcroft had been hit with an increase in thefts, robberies and breakers and the department has been feeling some pressure of a spike in crime in the normally tame and safe mountain community.
The board of commissioners was taken a bit by surprise according to sources to find out that in addition to the resignation of the chief of police the leadership is now faced with a resignation of the village clerk and the resignation of 3/4 of the local police department.
The chief was scheduled to speak before the commission but then opted not to speaking with the mayor privately and expressed his appreciation for his time of service. Village Trustee Gail McCoy confirmed to KALHRadio.org's Anthony Lucero that 2 other officers also resigned. She speculated the resignation was the result of changes being made and a new administration. Mrs. McCoy stated that "changes are under for the village and all for the positive."
Sources tell Alamogordo Town News that public safety is not as risk as the Otero County Sheriff’s Department under the direction of Sheriff Black has stepped up patrols and is assisting the village of Cloudcroft to ensure adequate police protection with response times consistent with state averages.
Alamogordo Town News and KALHradio.org is investigating and as more information on this mass resignation becomes available we will report to our readers and listeners. Stay tuned for further details…
So MLG says the root problem is loneliness.
What has she and her party done to help?
Ive always leaned liberal and progressive, but hold to my Independent voter status. I have become extremely disenchanted with Gov Grisham over time. While I won't speak from any political position here, I have to agree with Commissioner Barelas comments about our Govs claims not matching with her actions. Also, I

Way to go MLG!!
You've secured 2 hundredths of 1% of the $10 trillion in foreign investment announced so far in the last few weeks.
What would we do without leadership like this?
at least she's facilitating foreign investments, while our Dear Leader is telling our trading partners and allies to take a hike.
You confuse me.
You say she's facilitating foreign investment, but then say "Our dear leader is telling partners and allies to take a hike" which could only refer to her. Because as I stated in my previous post, Trump has negotiated $10 trillion in investments from our partners and allies so far.
The following is from the International Wolf Center;
funny you should mention polio; our new H&HS secretary, robt. kennedy jr, has made a lot of $$ advocating against vaccines - including the salk vaccine. he's been achieving some success in reviving measles lately, maybe he can do the same for polio - pretty bizarre request.
RFK is a lot like me in that regard, he's not actually advocating against vaccines, just advocating for better science, or at least science, before approving them. Something that has been sorely lacking from the NIH, FDA, and CDC. None of which allowed any research that didn't meet their political agenda. And al
That's wild that you just decide to attack him, the exact same way that you accuse him of attacking the mayor. The fact that you will back the mayor up shows your character and that's not a good thing.
