Alamogordo High School Business Professionals of America To Go To Nationals
Congratulations to the Alamogordo High School Business Professionals of America, who had a great year with much success. The Tiger team had 13 members earn their way to the New Mexico Business Professionals of America State Competition last month in ABQ
Multiple students qualified for the National competition that will take place in Chicago this May
The Alamogordo High School advisors, Richard & Terri Koehler along with 3 of the students gave a presentation to the Alamogordo Board of Education at this weeks meeting, and in a statement from the Board, Staff & Attendees all were “impressed with all their accomplishments.”
The Alamogordo High School Tigers that were National Qualifiers for the BPA National Leadership Competition - to be held in May in Chicago, Illinois include:
▪️ Team Captain, Christopher Provenzano (top 10 in Nation in 2-D Animation Team)
▪️ Zayn Dotson (top 10 in Nation in 2-D Animation Team)
▪️ Jay Amaya (top 10 in Nation in 2-D Animation Team)
▪️ Barry Schmidt - (#1 in State in Python coding and National Qualifier)
▪️ Aaron Sapp (#3 in State in Python Coding and National Qualifier)
▪️ Austin Stauffacher (National Leadership Qualifier - Human Resources)
State Finalists
▪️ Justin Griffin (finalist for Entrepreneurship and XX),
▪️ Jay Amaya (finalist in Medical Billing and Coding)
Along with the above titles, they also competed in Graphic Design Promotion, Fundamental Accounting, Basic Office Systems & Procedures, Interview Skills, and Ethics. They are already looking forward to next year and putting into practice what they learned this year.
