Boys Basketball - Mescalero Apache defeated Lordsburg 60-49. Davin Davis led the Chiefs with 15 points, Landyn Hiles had 11 and Darius Wheeler with 9. The Chiefs improve their record to 11-11 and 4-1 in district. They next host Tularosa on Tuesday.
Boys Basketball - Tularosa defeated Capitan 63-49. Zaine Hodges led the Wildcats with 18 points, Dillon Salazar had 16 points and Estevan Barraza with 11.
The Wildcats improved their record to 19-4 and 6-0 in district. They next play at Mescalero Apache on Tuesday.
Boys Basketball - Alamogordo defeats Mayfield 70-53. Deonta Bynum led the Tigers with 19 points, Jason Warren had 14 and Damiran Smith with 11. The Tigers improve to 15-9, 5-3 in district and next play at Las Cruces on Tuesday.
Girls Basketball - Mayfield defeated Alamogordo 44-36. Abby Vazquez led the Lady Tigers with 17 points and 4 steals, Teeya Gordon had 9 points and 11 rebounds, Elizabeth Needham with 8 points, 6 rebounds and 4 blocks. The Lady Tigers drop to 12-12 and 3-5 in district . They next host Las Cruces on Tuesday.
Girls Basketball - Tularosa defeated Capitan 44-27. Aaralyn Stephens led the Lady Cats with 21 points, Danae Evans and Maycee Griffin each had 7 points. The Lady Cats improve to 18-6, 6-0 in district and play at Mescalero Apache on Tuesday.
Girls Basketball - Lordsburg defeats Mescalero Apache 65-31. The Lady Chiefs drop to 8-12 and 1-4 in district. They next host Tularosa on Tuesday.
