The Launch Pad Lecture Series is held on the first Friday of each month and is free to attend. Museum staff, and sometimes special guest speakers, discuss topics ranging from space history to space future. New Location at New Horizons Dome Theater on the campus of the New Mexico Museum of Space History, Alamogordo. Free to the public.

thank you for your insights - i have suspected that leaking mercury was at the basis for deciding to close the facility...and i imagine that the structural challenges of repair/replacement would be "astronomical".
