La Luz Pottery, located at 29 Fresnal Canyon Road, La Luz, NM. Everyone will need to first take the Introductory Class. Call to reserve a slot if this is your first class. Introductory Classes are the FIRST Wednesday and the First Saturday of the month from 1 pm to 5 pm. After your first class you are welcome to come out to any of the monthly Wednesday & Saturday workshop sessions, 1 pm to 5 pm, without further reservations. Dot Gabel is the head potter and teaches the techniques to creating your own unique and beautiful pieces of pottery. The basics are taught during your first session. After that you are encouraged to use your imagination to create your own treasure pieces. Then once you have taken your first class, you can attend any of the workshop sessions. All classes and workshop sessions are free; however, donations are very much appreciated to cover cost of the clay, supplies, tools and firing at the Pottery.
