On Sunday, June 21, 2026, Vivian Randall Jones, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully at her home in Alamogordo, New Mexico, at the age of 73.
Vivian was born on May 25, 1953, in Whiteville, North Carolina to Fred Randall and Alease Burns and was happily married to her husband, Herbert Jones, for 51 years.
She worked at the Holloman AFB Child Care Center, as a Desk Clerk, for 24 years until her retirement from Civil Service, after 30 years, in August 2016.
Vivian is survived by her husband, Herbert Jones; her daughter, Tameka Jones; her son, Daniel Jones and his wife Erin; her grandson, Mykel Robuck; her great granddaughter, Xaneighlianah Garcia Jones; her brother, Renard Burns and his wife Jay-Cheree; her sisters, Crystal Duplessis and her husband Yves, Rhonda McLean and her husband Charles; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who loved her deeply.
She was preceded in death by her son, Omar Jones; her daughter, Azizi Jones; her parents, Fred and Alease Randall; her grandmother, Carrie Randall; her brother, Jackie Burns; her sisters, Carolyn Randall Butler and Gayle Randall McKoy.
Services for Vivian will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2026 in Whiteville, North Carolina.
The Jones family has entrusted their love one to the care of Alamogordo Funeral Home of Alamogordo and People’s Funeral Home of Whiteville.
