Jessica Rose Rodriguez, beautiful daughter, mother and a true gift from GOD, 44, of Alamogordo, New Mexico, formerly of Sauk Village, Illinois, passed away peacefully on March 20, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Jessica was born on October 30, 1981, in Olympia Fields, Illinois, to Joseph and Cassandra (Gibson) Rodriguez.
Jessica found her calling as a baker. She worked at the Starbucks Roastery in Chicago and most recently at Walmart in Alamogordo, New Mexico. She had a true passion for baking cookies, cakes, and elaborate desserts. Cooking and baking for holidays brought her immense joy, and seeing her family enjoy her food filled her with pride and joy.
Jessica is survived by her parents, Joseph Rodriguez (stepmother Sharon) and Cassandra (Gibson) Rodriguez (stepfather James Polizzi); her five children: Aneliese Rodriguez and grandchildren, Skylar and Royal; Chianna Vinson and grandchildren, Isabella and Baby Max; twins, Joseph Vinson and Layla Vinson; Luna Rodgers. She is also survived by her uncle, Joseph Gibson (Nancy); her aunt, Theresa (John); her cousin Kellie O. Morrissey; her great aunt, Elizabeth Lopez; as well as a host of relatives and friends.
Jessica was predeceased by her grandparents, Joseph and Virgilan Gibson, and Paul and Rose Rodriguez.
Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association in Jessicaʼs name. Jessica will be remembered for her warmth, generosity, and unwavering love for her family and her cooking.
