Cleo D. Davis, 77, a longtime Alamogordo resident passed away peacefully on Friday, March 20, 2026, at Betty Dare Wellness and Rehabilitation Center. Sis. Davis was the daughter of the late Willard and Ida Mae Andrews. She was born in Franklinton, Louisiana.
Sis. Davis professed her faith in Jesus Christ at an early age. She was a member of Corinth Baptist Church for over 60 years. She served faithfully as an usher and was active with the Women's Ministry and Kitchen Ministry. Sis. Davis faithfully attended Sunday school and Baptist Training Union. She used her God-given talent as a seamstress and sewed draperies for the church as needed.
Sis. Davis was employed at Presto, Desert Aire, and Wal-Mart. Her last employment was a private housekeeper for the Wheeler family where her hard work, integrity, and commitment left a lasting impression.
Sis. Davis was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Brenda Andrews; brothers, Jerry Andrews and Williard Andrews Jr.; her husband, Burnis Davis, Sr.; son, Michael. She leaves to cherish her memories her sons, Burnis Davis (Sandra) of Alamogordo and Glen Davis (Ida), of Coral Springs, Florida; three special aunts, Hazel Garrett, Fannie Ruth Handy, and Matley Shanks; niece, Monica Jones (FL); nephews, Craig, Shawn and Stephen Hadley; grandchildren, Brandon, Brittany, Zachary, and Brianna Davis, Shanan Parker (Steve), Shawn Harris; a host of other relatives and friends.
The funeral service for Cleo Davis will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, March 28, 2026, at Corinth Baptist Church.
Burial will follow at Monte Vista Cemetery.
