In Memory of Mark David Bushlow

Mark David Bushlow. 76, passed peacefully beside his devoted wife, Beth, into the loving arms of his Savior, Jesus Christ, on Sunday, February 15, 2026.

Mark was born in Waltham, MA to Anthony and Rose Bushlow. He graduated in 1968 from Alamogordo High School and went on to attend Panhandle State University on a football scholarship, a reflection of both his athleticism and determination.

Mark served his country proudly in the United States Army as a helicopter crew chief and mechanic for more than three years in Vietnam.

After returning home, Mark built a life centered on faith, family, and hard work. He retired from El Paso Electric Company and went on to become a successful self-service car wash and dog wash owner in Alamogordo for more than 20 years, as well as a partner in a local water store for several years. Through his businesses, he formed lasting friendships and became a familiar and respected presence in the community.

In 1974, Mark met the love of his life, Beth Bowell-with the helpful assistance of her beloved cat, Tomee. Their love story spanned more than five decades, and they recently celebrated 51 beautiful years of marriage this past November.

Mark is survived by his adoring wife, Beth; his beautiful daughter, Taryn (Chuck); and his cherished granddaughters, Brittany (Matt) and Megan. He is also survived by his siblings: Tony (Char), Linda, Cathy (Ron), Chris (Debbie), Gloria (Roy), Susie; along with many beloved nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony and Rose; his stepfather, Sam; his niece, Amanda.

Mark will be remembered for his strength, steady presence, and deep love for his family. His legacy of faith, service, and devotion will live on in all who knew and loved him.

A Celebration of Life and with military honors will be held at 11:00 am at St. Jude Mission Columbarium on Friday, March 6, 2026, followed by a reception.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mark's name to Stand Up To Cancer, a cutting-edge cancer research organization uniting top scientists and collaborators, focused on early detection and innovative treatments to save lives and improve outcomes for cancer patients.
