In Memory of George Martin Davis

George Martin Davis, 85, of Alamogordo, peacefully went to be with the Lord on January 15, 2026.

George graduated from Alamogordo High School in 1958. He was a veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy from 1962-1966, and a sailor on the USS Hancock. He was an electrician and had a 30-year career with the Alamogordo phone Company, retiring in 2000, followed by 12 more years with the Tularosa phone company. George had many great achievements and attributes in his life, but among his greatest were his love of God and family. He was a wonderful man who was selfless, gentle, generous, loving and kind. He was the greatest husband and father.

He was preceded in death by 3 sisters and 7 brothers. He is survived by his wife, Bonnie of 59 years and sons, Steve, Darren (wife, Ginger), Jeff (wife, Jackie) and Chad; 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; 1 sister, Ruth Howell (age 97) of Alamogordo and many nephews and nieces.

George was a member of Bethel Baptist Church for 41 years and served as a Deacon.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at Bethel Baptist Church on Saturday, January 24th at 11:00 AM followed by a meal at the church.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice.
