just like health care - contracting to operate jails and prisons by entities whose primary purpose is making a profit will inevitably result in ethical problems. and all these jails and prisons that are short-staffed have a simple problem - when any business can't keep employees -

This a perfect example of why we should never have jails and prisons be managed by for-profit entities.
Inmates are sons or daughters, mothers, fathers, family and friends of our community. They and we deserve answers and deserve justice

i would not be surprised to learn the capture was not coordinated with any local LEO - that would be consistent with recent history of ICE. it will be instructive to see if the sheriff's department/county administration choses to respond to a request for a clarifying statement.

evidently this capture occurred inside the courthouse, which would make it apparent it was co-ordinated with the sheriffs department, the entity with jurisdiction. the fact the capture was conducted by unidentified individuals wearing masks to conceal their identities, and traveling in an unmarked vehicle, makes it

The CEO of the courts claims the apprehension occured in the parking lot which is outside their juristiction. We have asked to county for its policy and do they condone these actions on county owned property.
