ALAMOGORDO, NM — The Alamogordo Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with AFSA Chapter 1257 at Holloman Air Force Base and local military partners, is proud to present the 2026 4th of July Parade on Saturday, July 4.
Parade Details:
• Check-in/Lineup: 8:00 AM at the Otero Federal Credit Union parking lot in front of Albertsons, 1200 E 10th Street.
• Parade Start: Promptly at 9:00 AM.
• Route: Participants will line up near Cuba Avenue and E 10th Street, proceeding along 10th Street and ending at Maryland Avenue and E 10th Street (route adjusted this year due to ongoing revitalization of New York Avenue).
The patriotic procession will feature floats, marching units, veterans’ organizations, first responders, local businesses, and community groups celebrating America’s 250th anniversary and the spirit of Independence Day.
Post-Parade Celebration at VFW Post 7686
Following the parade, head to VFW Post 7686 for an all-day Open House at the Canteen, open to the public from 3:00 PM to 12:00 AM at 700 Hwy 70 W, Alamogordo, NM 88310.
Enjoy live music by the Cadillac Kings, cold drinks, great company, and classic VFW camaraderie. “Great people. Great times. That’s the VFW!”

This combination of events offers families and veterans a full day of celebration — honoring service members, enjoying community spirit, and capping the day with music and fellowship at the VFW.
