Alamogordo Track and Field Teams Place 3rd and 4th at John Mirimanian Invitational

LAS CRUCES — The Alamogordo High School boys and girls track and field teams competed Saturday at the John Mirimanian Invitational, with the boys finishing 3rd overall and the girls placing 4th in a competitive field of teams.

The Tigers produced several outstanding individual performances, including two state qualifiers: Elizabeth Farmer in the girls 400 meters and Andrew Woolen in the boys discus.

Alamogordo will now host the District 3-5A Championships this Friday at Tiger Stadium.

The Tigers showed strong depth across both track and field events. Alamogordo now prepares to host the District 3-5A Championships on Friday, where many of these athletes will look to punch their tickets to the state meet.
