LAS CRUCES — The Alamogordo High School golf teams delivered a strong performance Monday at the Organ Mountain Spring Invitational, held at the scenic Red Hawk Golf Club in Las Cruces.
The Tiger boys captured first place with a team score of 306, while the girls secured a solid second-place finish with a team total of 378.
On the boys’ side, the Tigers were paced by strong play from the Wright brothers. Dyson Wright and Landon Wright each carded a 74 to tie for 2nd place individually. Kolton Stagner followed with a 78 to tie for 6th, Andrez Montoya shot an 80 for a tie for 8th, and Jacobi Saldevar posted an 83 to tie for 11th.
The girls were led by Tatum Wright, who finished 4th with a 91. Ava Armijo placed 5th with a 92, Annelisia Herrera tied for 9th with a 97, Kylee Wright took 11th with a 98, and Aniston Eldred finished 22nd with a 116.
Red Hawk Golf Club, nestled at the base of the Organ Mountains, provided a challenging high-desert test with its Ken Dye design featuring rolling fairways, strategic bunkers, and scenic views.
The Alamogordo squads will now prepare for their next event, the Chaparral Invite on April 16 at Painted Dunes Golf Club.
