ALAMOGORDO, N.M. — In a heartwarming celebration of generosity and community spirit, the 34th meeting of 100 Women Who Care Alamogordo honored Alamogordo High School’s Business Professionals of America (BPA) as its latest recipient of collective giving. The student-led organization was selected from a trio of inspiring nominees, each dedicated to uplifting local youth.

The evening marked the kickoff of the group’s 9th year of impact, and the milestone was nothing short of extraordinary. With over 160 members contributing individually or as teams, the group has now donated more than $400,000 to local nonprofits—through just four one-hour meetings per year. It’s a testament to the power of numbers and the strength of shared purpose.

A little from a whole lot of people adds up to huge support,” said one of the members of 100 Women that Care, Cindy Nowaczck, Owner of Our Little Country Store,  and a huge advocate for their model of giving. Her comments reflect on the ripple effect of their model and the power of women working together in positivity.

This quarter’s nominees included:

• Applied Dynamics Initiative (ASTRO Vikings), a STEM-focused student program

• GCRMC Auxiliary, supporting healthcare and student volunteers

• Alamogordo High School BPA, which ultimately received the donation to further its mission of preparing students for careers in business and leadership

The group also welcomed back Runners Refuge Ministries Alamogordo, last quarter’s recipient, who shared moving updates on how the donation has fueled their outreach and services.

Special thanks were extended to Empire Insurance (Jan O’Dell), this quarter’s Round Up sponsor, whose support helped amplify the evening’s success.

As the meeting closed, the energy in the room was palpable—a reflection of the deep care and commitment these women bring to Alamogordo. Their collective giving continues to shape lives, empower students, and strengthen the fabric of the community.
