As previously reported by AlamogordoTownNews.org Alamogordo has seen an increase in kidnappings. Now per a release from the City of Alamogordo Police Department, the Alamogordo Police Department has made multiple arrests following an investigation into a kidnapping that occurred in mid-2023.
In early January 2024, officers received information regarding the alleged abduction of a female victim several months prior. Through the course of the investigation, it was determined that the victim, who was acquainted with some of the suspects, had been forcibly taken from a residence in north Alamogordo and transported to a second location elsewhere in the city. Investigators learned that the victim was restrained and subjected to prolonged physical abuse before eventually being released.
As a result of the investigation, 32-year-old Ernesto Robles, 32-year-old Vanessa Renteria, and 30-year-old Samantha Martinez, were taken into custody on August 11, 2025. All three were booked into the Otero County Detention Center and are awaiting court proceedings. A fourth suspect has been identified, and a warrant for their arrest remains active.
These arrests highlight the ongoing efforts of law enforcement to address kidnapping and related crimes in the Alamogordo area. While Alamogordo is a small town it has a growing crime problem and citizens must remain vigilant.

Sunny, with a high of 83 and low of 54 degrees. Sunny in the morning, clear in the afternoon and evening,
Evan has excellent policies that actually address our problems in Alamogordo, whereas Burnett doesn't have much to offer beyond pointing out problems and having influential ties.
Great article. You do not even have to name the people, I already know who you are talking about. Keep speaking the truth. Love it.

First my Facebook page got shut down after I got attacked by a hostile group of strangers... First they came for me. Then I offered you a chance to read what was going on with me as a warning, and you didn't want to.
Yep, Cota is not ready for a public office let alone a Mayor.
Any chance Anthony Lucero would interview Ted Morgan?
There’s a thing called reactive abuse. It can be used to bring frivolous, costly lawsuits (aka lawfare). Please educate yourself so you do not fall for harassment baiting. There are some very interesting videos on Youtube about it.
