On July 7, 2023, the Alamogordo Police Department began an investigation regarding an alleged sexual assault on a 12-year-old child. It was learned from the investigation, the alleged assault took place at various locations within the City of Alamogordo between the dates of July 5 thru July 6, 2023. Officers were able to obtain corroborating evidence consistent with the victims' statements. After an extensive investigation and awaiting crucial evidence from the New Mexico Department of Public Safety Forensic Laboratory, Benjamin Cunningham, 22-year-old Alamogordo resident was arrested on December 12, 2024. He has been charged with the following crimes:
• 10 Counts of Criminal Sexual Penetration of a Minor (under 13 years of age)
• 4 Counts of Criminal Sexual Contact of a Minor (under 13 years of age)
Mr. Cunningham was incarcerated at OCDC pending his appearance in court.

I think Amy Bareala is more intrested in spending time taking picturs with her assualt rifles than she is doing her job. I would love to see her crack the whip on our countys code inforcement laws. I'm sick of the way the county has turned into a huge dumpster/ junkyard for all that wish to defile our county land.
