Alamogordo High School announced Cookie Venegas of Tiger Wrestling as the 12/6/24 Tiger Athlete of the Week is sponsored by Tularosa Basin Telephone Company/Tularosa Communications, Inc. and The Winners' Circle and hosted by 101.9 1230 AM.
Boys Basketball - Alamogordo defeated Deming 57-48 in a game with overtime.
Jaedyn Hernandez led the Tigers with 17 points, Antwan Herrera-Hamilton had 13 and Isiah Richards with 6. The Tigers improved their record to 2-2 and next host Carlsbad on Thursday.
Boys Basketball - Rio Rancho defeated Alamogordo 65-48 at the Artesia Tournament. Julian Favela led the Tigers with 12 points, Jaedyn Hernandez with 10 and Isiah Richards with 6.
Boys Basketball - Roy/Mosquero defeated Cloudcroft 56-37 at the Dora Tournament.
Girls Basketball -Cloudcroft defeated Maxwell 41-27 at the Dora Tournament. With the win he Lady Bears improved their record to 3-1 and next host Tularosa on Tuesday.
Girls Basketball - Cloudcroft defeated Amherst 51-11 at the Dora Tournament.
Girls Basketball - Bel Air defeated Alamogordo 52-32 at the Artesia Tournament. Teeya Gordon led the Lady Tigers with 16 points, Madisen Flores with 5, Addyson Gonzalez and Kalila Ramirez each with 4. The Lady Tigers drop to 0-4, next play Los Lunas on Tuesday at 6 PM.
Girls Basketball - Piedra Vista defeated Tularosa 61-16 at the Gallup Tournament.
