The 101.9, 1230 AM Alamo Sports Tiger Athlete of the week was Toni Wilder of Lady Tiger's Soccer for 10/4/24 The Tiger Athlete of the Week is sponsored by The Winners' Circle and Tularosa Basin Telephone Company/Tularosa Communications, Inc.
In regional Volleyball games local high schools competed in Volleyball with Cloudcroft defeating Tularosa in 5 sets (17-25, 25-23, 20-25, 25-17, 17-15).

Deming defeated Alamogordo in 4 sets.The Lady Tigers dropped to 1-11 record. The Tiger ladies then went on to play Centennial which defeated Alamogordo in straight sets. The Lady Tigers then dropped to 1-12 and 0-1 in district they next host Organ Mountain on Saturday.
Area soccer action saw Gadsden girl defeat Alamogordo 6-0. The Lady Tigers drop to 8-7 and 0-5 in district. Then the Tiger girls Girls Soccer played Centennial which defeated Alamogordo 2-0. Madison Gigler scored with 18 saves. The Lady Tigers drop to 8-8 and 0-6 in district they next play at Organ Mountain on Tuesday. The Alamogordo girls only have 15 players in the rotation under head coach Lee Wilder. The Lady Tigers are in a tough division and district with three district opponents currently ranked in the top 10 of 5A teams that is No. 4 Las Cruces, No. 5 Mayfield and No. 7 Centennial as tough competition. The lady Tigers three captains are seniors Antonia Wilder, Madison Gigler and Daniella Sandoval and each remain positive examples for their team with each game.
In Boys soccer Gadsden defeated Alamogordo 6-2. Leo Rick and Gabe Arellano scored for the Tigers. Ryan Amberson with an assist. Noah Mirabal with 17 saves. The Tiger Boys dropped to 5-8 and 1-4 in district. Next this week Centennial defeated Alamogordo 8-0.
Tigers drop boys closed the week with a record of 5-9 and 1-5 in district. Thez next host Silver on Saturday.
