Three NMSBVI students recently traveled to the Kansas City School for the Blind in Missouri to participate in Make 48. The purpose of the Make 48 Innovation Competition is to inspire students to explore STEM careers. Competing against 5 teams from Texas, California, Indiana, Maryland, and Washington, NMSBVI's "Team MMA" had to brainstorm and create a prototype in less than 48 hours! This year's theme was "It's Gym-Tastic!" Team MMA made NMSBVI and New Mexico proud with their teamwork and their creative and innovative prototype focused on making life easier in the gymnasium. Way to go Team MMA!
