Anthony Lucero of KRAZY KALHRadio.org broke news Monday evening that the Democratic Party of Otero County or DPOC is under oversight and investigation by the Democratic Party of New Mexico due to a number of complaints filed by local party members.
Mr Lucero reported that there have been a number of allegations and rumors spreading around the community and he has been forwarded documentation from a variety of sources of which we will not name that demonstrates DPNM is now heavily involved in DPOC in an effort to stabilize the local organization and bring a sense of stability and civility back into the fold.
Mr Lucero of Streaming KRAZY KALHRadio.org spoke with folks locally and at the state level for comments based on documents he has received. He interviewed Democratic Operatives and former county chair Stephanie Dubois, on the public record at https://youtu.be/gYHMRG8p8-o
It was reported to KALHRadio.org that party chairwoman Brianna Martinez was not leading the local Democratic Party meetings and that the state was now officiating them. Per Anthony Lucero; “chairwoman Brianna Martinez is not heading local party meetings until further notice.”
Per Stephanie Dubois; “I know they have put Isiah Baca in charge and he will be running the meetings. No meetings will be in public they will all be by zoom. “
So then Anthony Lucero called DPNM’s Mr. Bacca to ask him to verify the information provided to KALHRadio.org. Mr Baca replied, “DPNM just want to help out and ensure DPOC remains on the right track with meetings and stuff.”
Rumors have spread that the local ward leaders wanted a no confidence vote and so Anthony Lucero asked Mr Baca “if Ms. Martinez remains in power, has she been suspended, removed or declawed?” Mr. Baca responded, “I will be working alongside her, we just want to help the county party with everything.”
KALHRadio.org received by mail a copy of a memo from a DPNM official that stated, “DPNM is running all Otero County meetings at this point…We will loop back in the Otero Executive Team when we have meeting information…”
Per Anthony Lucero, “I don’t know about you I detect the odor of Bovine excrement, and with this line of thinking it leads to the question of Matthew Crecelius. Rumors of an investigation by the state party persists, so is Matt Crecelius under investigation?”
Per Mr. Baca, “Give me one quick second…” On hold and then Mr Baca returned, “can you explain the situation the question is in regards to?” Mr Lucero then again asked if Mr Crecelius is under investigation? Mr. Baca responded he would have to get back with KALHRadio.org with an answer to that. Mr. Lucero pressed yet the response was KALHRadio.org “will get a call back.”
Mr Baca did not call back but the communications director of the Democratic Party of New Mexico Daniel Garcia called back and explained that all media inquiries should go through him as he is the official party spokesperson. Mr Lucero then proceeded to ask again about an investigation of Matthew Crecelius? Mr. Garcia said he’d have to check and get an answer and will call KALHRadio.org back.
Mr Garcia did call Mr. Lucero back and the conversation was strained at best, his response, “what I have to tell you it’s an internal investigation and we are not going to comment on it publicly.”
Thus it is confirmed that DPNM is investigating the actions and behaviors of Matthew Crecelius of the DPOC leadership team.
Mr Crecelius has made it a habit to jab, and intimidate, threaten and libel party members via his “personal “ social media page to provide him cover. He along with the chairwoman then claim his personal comments do not reflect upon DPOC though it’s clear his messaging is aimed at DPOC members. Mr. Crecelius has attacked a woman getting chemo treatments for cancer, a business owner, a realtor who ran for judge under the Democratic Party, journalists with this news organization calling them “domestic terrorists” along with other party members, and spouted other propaganda of hostility and intimidation.
Mr Crecelius then constantly has posted a threat against a group of Democratic insiders he calls “team coup” with a perceived threat of violence that he has repeated often. That perception is based on the many police reports of alleged threats of domestic violence paired with multiple police reports of no trespass requests from the Home Depot, downtown businesses and the local movie theater.

Apparently a group of several DPOC women and members have felt threatened by his history and his posts. Insiders report that in March he was asked to tame his posts, a placed on a 5 point behavior modification plan to include counseling on anger management by Jeff Swanson.
The plan failed as his posts and intimidation tactics plus libel have continued. Thus DPNM has stepped in and is investigating.
Mr Crecelius MAY be correct that he is not leaving DPOC, however he is at least, temporarily barred from participating in ANY DPOC and DPNM activities, at least during the investigation, per an internal memo leaked to KALHRadio.org…
So his text that he is NOT going anywhere is null and void at least during the investigation as he is prohibited from conducting any DPOC business or activities.
Most interesting is Mr Crecelius is the chairman of the “candidate screening committee” for the upcoming municipal election.
This week is crunch time for candidates recruiting as candidates must declare on August 29th.
One week before the declaration deadline and the DPOC party chair is MIA in hosting meetings, meetings are now facilitated by the state and Mr Crecelius cannot act in any official capacity in candidate selection nor recruitment.
The majority party of Otero County must be jumping with glee in anticipation of their expected sweep of the school board in the upcoming municipal elections.
They are witnessing the disfunction, that has been created by the present administration of DPOC, and the escalating and some suggest intentional sabotage of civility by Mr. Crecelius.
