Margot Bratton passed away on September 9, 2026, in El Paso, Texas, surrounded by family after a courageous four year battle with myasthenia gravis.
Born in Des Plaines, Illinois, Margot met John Bratton, the love of her life, on Bratton Lane in Round Rock, Texas, and they married in Georgetown, Texas. When the Air Force relocated John, their journey brought them to Alamogordo, New Mexico, where they continued their military adventures and eventually settled down. A beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, coach, and proud military wife, she welcomed military children and families into her home, making it “that house on base” where everyone belonged.
As a track coach, Margot loved supporting her athletes and community. She enjoyed going to the movies, watching novelas, and listening to Taylor Swift and Selena. She especially loved hosting Sunday evening dinners, bringing friends and family together around her table. She dreamed of traveling across the United States in an RV, visiting New York City, and attending more Dallas Cowboys games.
She is survived by her husband, two sons, grandchildren, mother, and sister. Her love and generosity will live on in the lives she touched.

Services for Margot was be held at Scenic Chapel on Friday, September 25th with a visitation at 9:00 am followed by the funeral service at 10:00 am.
The Bratton family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Scenic Chapel to direct the funeral services.
